Adult Ceramics Class

     This adult ceramics class explores new visions, dreams, and ideas while working with clay. Basic and intermediate class lessons for adults teach ceramic sculpture, hand building, and wheel activities. Adult classes discuss artistic ideas, ceramic glazing techniques, kiln-firing techniques, along with specific areas of interest to the students.
     Ages 16 and up
     Classes are held Wednesdays 7:00pm - 9:00pm, for 4 weeks.

     $90 plus $20 for ceramic materials & firing*

Adult Ceramics Studio Class

     This studio time will be available to adults who have participated in other ceramics classes and are looking to work independently while getting help as needed. Short demonstration/exercise classes on various ceramic skills and techniques are given each week. Ceramic class instruction will be geared to the adult participants' interests and needs.
     Ages 16 and up
     Classes are held every Monday and Wednesday from 1:00pm - 3:00pm, for 4 weeks
     $9 plus $20 for ceramic materials & firing*

 Beginning and Intermediate Adult Wheel Throwing Class 

     Adults will learn, at their own pace, all aspects of wheel throwing. The class focuses adult beginners on fundamental ceramic throwing skills and techniques. Intermediate adult students continue refining fundamental ceramic throwing skills and techniques while learning consistency and how to achieve embellishment and intent in their pieces. Class availability is dependent upon a minimum enrollment of at least three adults.
     Ages 13 and up
     Classes are held Saturdays from 10:00am - 12noon or 1:00pm to 3:00pm, for 4 weeks

     $90 plus $20 for ceramic materials & firing*

Beginning hand-building ceramics for everyone

     Adult students explore hand building as a way of making functional and sculptural ceramic art. Adults learn basic ceramic construction processes such a coils, slabs, and molds with a variety of decorative and finishing techniques using low fire and/or high fire clays and glazes. Adults will pursue individual projects with the assistance from the class instructor.  

     Ages 10 and up
     Classes are held Saturdays from 10:00am - 12noon, for 4 weeks
