Parent/Child Pottery

     This is a family class where parents and children can come and be creative together. This is an on-going, 6-week class. Over the 6 weeks, we cover hand-building techniques of pinch, coil, and slab, surface decoration and glazing, plus introduction to the wheel.
    Ages 5 & up
    Classes are held Mondays or Thursdays 6:30pm - 8:00pm, for 6 weeks
    $90 for parent and one child + $10 each for ceramic materials & firing* (additional children, please call for pricing)

Hand Built Sculpture

      Explore hand building as a way of making functional and sculptural ceramic art. Students will learn basic construction processes such a coils, slabs, and molds with a variety of decorative and finishing techniques using low fire and/or high fire clays and glazes. Students will pursue individual projects with the assistance from the instructor.
    Ages 10 through Adult
    Classes are held Saturdays 10:00am - 12noon, for 4 weeks

Fundamentals and Intermediate Wheel Throwing

     Students will learn, at their own pace, all aspects of wheel throwing. Emphasis will be on fundamental skills and techniques required for beginners. Intermediate students will continue refinement of fundamental skills and techniques. Emphasis is placed on consistency of sets, achievement of the artist's intent and embellishment of pieces. Class availability dependent upon a minimum enrollment of at least three students.
    Ages 13 and up
    Classes are held Saturdays 10:00am - 12noon or 1:00pm to 3:00pm, for 4 weeks

After School Youth Ceramics
Come play in clay! This studio class will cover the basics of building ceramics by hand and using the potter's wheel. It includes decorating, firing and glazing of both functional (plates, cups, bowls) and sculptural ceramics. Studio activities are tailored to the individuals interests and needs. Specific lessons/activities are available if needed.  
    Ages 8 to 18
    Classes are held Thursday afternoons, 2:00pm - 4:00pm, for 4 sessions
    $90 plus $20 for ceramic materials & firing* (ask about our family discount)
