One day workshop will introduce participants to thechniques for using mica powders as coloring agents for raku pieces. Workshop participants will be able to fire mica infused terra sigillanta pots using horsehair, post fire reduction, & foil saggar techniques. Sodium silicate and naked raku thechniques will be demonstrated. You will need to bring 3-5 bisque pieces no larger thatn 8x8. The clay must be able to withstand the thermal shock of a raku firing.
